Developed by a hugely-talented, Tokyo-based team headed by the legendary Sawaki Takeyasu (Devil May Cry) and Masato Kimura (Okami, Viewtiful Joe) El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, draws players into a rich storyline inspired by events in the Old Testament's apocryphal 'Book of Enoch.' In the game, players take on the role of Enoch and must harness his natural combat skills to master a range of powerful and Heavenly weapons under the guidance of the watchful Archangels. Only then will he be able to deliver the souls of the Fallen Angels and spare the world from a great flood ordered by Heaven.

Controls are clunky and the camera angles are frustrating at times. The remaster didn't fix some core issues from the original. Graphics look dated even with the updates. Hard to recommend unless you're a big fan of the series.
It's an okay experience overall. The visuals are improved but the combat can feel repetitive after a while. Story is interesting though and the soundtrack is a highlight. Not bad but could have been better optimized.
Solid port with some nice improvements. The controls are intuitive and the story still holds up well after all these years. A few minor bugs here and there but nothing game-breaking. Worth picking up if you missed it the first time.
This remaster brings back all the nostalgic feelings from the original. The graphics have been updated beautifully while keeping the unique art style intact. Gameplay feels smooth and responsive on modern hardware. I spent hours exploring every corner without any issues.
The remaster has some technical issues that detract from the experience. Not as polished as expected.
It's decent but the pacing can feel off in some sections. Still worth a play if you enjoy unique art styles.
